Reflexology with Ruth
Ruth Cadman trained with the London School of Reflexology and delivers deeply relaxing, bespoke reflexology treatments to address your own particular needs.
Treatments are delivered at Little Grove in Bacton where you sit in a reclining chair. You should let us know if you have any mobility issues that will make sitting or being reclined difficult for you, when you book your session.
Treatments are carried out using high quality foot balms, made from natural ingredients and infused with aromatherapy oils. You should let us know if you have any allergies to aromatherapy products when booking the session so that we may ensure that your treatment is delivered safely.
You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks ahead of the session commencing and you should wear clothing that allows access to the ankle area. There will be time to answer any questions that you may have prior to the treatment commencing.
Please be aware that Ruth will be unable to deliver a treatment to you if you suffer from varicose veins on your feet or if you have athletes foot or a fungal nail infection. Where you have an infection, please ensure that this has been treated and cleared before booking your reflexology session. If you have any other foot condition, please email us and we will advise if it can be accommodated.
The Reflexology Treatment
Prior to your initial session, we will send to you a questionnaire that will allow us to prepare for your session to best meet your individual requirements.
To ensure that Ruth is able to deliver a bespoke reflexology treatment to meet your personal needs, your first session of reflexology will also include an initial assessment prior to commencing the treatment. For this reason, you should allow additional time for this session.
Any information provided to Ruth through your questionnaire and during your treatment sessions is always held in the strictest confidence and in accordance with UK Data Protection legislation.
Treatment is carried out without dialogue so that you can completely relax. You can expect the room to have low lighting, relaxing music and, if you are agreeable, essential oils to help to bring about a sense of peace and calm.
What happens after a Reiki treatment?
Reflexology is deeply relaxing and the vast majority of Ruth’s clients will fall asleep for at least part of the treatment. At the end of the treatment Ruth will gently awaken you and she will close the session with some deep breathing exercises to help you reawaken.
You will be given time to fully awaken and will be provided with some water to drink.
After fully awakening, there is no restriction on usual daily activities such as driving, however you will be encouraged to drink water to support the natural healing and cleansing process and to release any toxins that may have been released into the body during the healing treatment.
Repeated Reflexology treatments
The amount and frequency of Reflexology treatments is entirely up to you and there will never be pressure to book further treatment sessions. Even just one session of Reflexology is beneficial. Many people choose to attend monthly to maintain good health, reduce anxiety and ensure a consistent focus on their health. Others will choose to attend more frequently to address conditions such as pain management.
